AutoBike
The autonomous bicycle for urban bike redistribution.

Bike-sharing systems lose up to half their operating budget moving bikes between stations by van. AutoBike drives itself instead. Navigating from a full to an empty station autonomously.
Built on a standard PubliBike frame — the same bike found at any Zürich station. Every autonomous component is integrated inside or behind the frame.
Watch the AutoBike perceive two pedestrians, plan a path around them, and steer itself to the goal — all in real time.
We are a group of ETH mechanical engineering students driven by innovation, impact, and passion. After two successful academic years, we teamed up to build the future of urban mobility.
The Autonomous Systems Lab (ASL) at ETH Zürich, led by Prof. Roland Siegwart, is one of Europe’s best-known robotics labs, with decades of work on robots that navigate on their own. Its researchers supervise AutoBike and share their experience in perception and navigation with the team.
